POE wags his tail happily as he runs to his friend ROE's house. "Happy Earth Day ROE!", POE barks. ROE smiles and licks POE excitedly, "Happy Earth Day to you too!" All of this barking and yapping catches ROE's leader Rider's attention. "What are you two talking about?" Rider asked. "You mean you don't know what Earth Day is?" asked POE. "How can you be MY special person and not know what Earth Day is?" ROE exclaimed. "Don't you know what our names stand for?" said POE. Rider thought about it, and thought about it some more and said, "Your names are ROE and POE, what do you mean stand for?" POE smiled at ROE and proudly replied, "Respect Our Earth is R.O.E, and Protect Our Earth is P.O.E.! We wear organic cotton collars because organic means no chemicals and that is better for the planet."

Rider wanted to be a part of ROE and POE's excitement about the planet but how? "How can I help too?" Rider asked her earth friendly friends. "I am so glad you asked Rider! The more people we can get to help make better choices for the planet the better off we will all be" said ROE. "Do you see that old cup on the grass over there? That isn't supposed to be there, it is garbage and should be thrown in the trash." POE barked. "POE's right. It's not only ugly but dangerous. An animal could come along and eat it, making them very sick. Or the plastic could release harmful chemicals while cooking in the hot sun." said ROE. "Just think if every person picked up just one piece of trash every day and disposed of it properly. What a huge difference in Mother Nature that would make." said POE. "That is it!" Rider screamed. "Picking up a piece of trash is an easy thing I can do every day to help Mother Nature! Thanks ROE and POE, or should I call you Respect and Protect?!?" POE and ROE yapped and rolled onto their bellies. "ROE and POE will do Rider! Thanks for joining the One Piece Movement with us!" they said. "Now let's go pick up some trash!"
